A reminder that the Downtown Book Club and Downtown Scenes stream will meet jointly on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 7pm in the Broome Room. Food will be served.
We'll be discussing the opening chapters of Timothy Gilfoyle's A Pickpocket's Tale: The Underworld of Nineteenth-Century New York, which we've made available to both groups in .pdf form. (We'll also be deciding whether we want to purchase this book and hold periodic discussions of it over the course of next semester.)
All residents welcome. If you are interested but haven't received the .pdf, please email me at bew2@nyu.edu
Please RSVP to the same address if you plan to attend so we can provide adequate amounts of food and drink.
Hosted by Downtown Scenes Prof. Tom Augst and FFiR Prof. Bryan Waterman.
See you there!
