On Saturday Apr 4 I'll make the short walk with interested residents to Deitch Projects, one of downtown's coolest galleries, where we'll meet the artist Jon Kessler for a guided tour of his current show. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in art, especially multimedia installations, as well as for those more generally interested in the role of art in anti-war protest.
Kessler, a past chair of Columbia's graduate fine arts program, has produced several scathing anti-war installations since the start of the war in Iraq.
