Subway Film Series presents Style Wars (1983): Weds, Mar 10, 7pm

SUBWAY FILM SERIES presents

STYLE WARS (1983)

70 min., dir. Tony Silver

This subway graffiti classic, first shown on PBS in 1983, documents the birth of B-boy culture in the Bronx and the rise of NYC’s first graffiti writers in the 1970s and early 80s. Who owns the city’s public spaces? Who determines the appropriate boundaries for public art?

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10, 7PM, BROOME ROOM

The Subway Films Series is sponsored by the Faculty Fellows in Residence Program (Waterman). Films feature the NYC subway system & are shown, appropriately, with the rumbling of the J Train passing beneath the Broome Room.

Food served.
