Welcome!

Greetings from your Faculty Fellows in Residence at the Residential College at Broome Street. We're excited to have you with us for this inaugural year.

Over the coming months we expect to meet most if not all of you as you participate in the range of programs we offer. Along with your RAs, the Faculty Affiliates attached to your streams, your RHD (Ty) and RHAD (Ali), and the rest of the Res College team, we aim to make your learning/living experience as vibrant and rewarding as possible.

Through the semester try to check in on this site. Its key feature is the Google calendar, which serves as a clearinghouse for information about programming building-wide. We hope to develop the site this year and make it more than just a posting place for events. During the first few weeks of the semester we'll feature introductory posts for all the ResCollege staff.

Take a look at the calendar now to get a handle on the many programs being offered for Welcome Week. Don't miss these major events:

  • Saturday, September 11, 2pm: Res College Convocation at Kimmel. Join us for our brief ceremony to kick off the year. More details to follow. (That evening I'll be showing the film Man on Wire, one 9/11 tradition I try to maintain.)

  • Sunday, September 12, 11-1pm: Waffle Brunch with Bryan, Stephanie, and family in apartment 712. This is our open house event for the semester, and we hope to meet as many of you as possible!

  • [Date and Time to come]: Professor & Pie Open House with Brad, Jo, and Benny. Come hungry for pie to Apartment 412 and meet this half of the FFiR team!

  • Stay tuned for more information on coming events, including the kick-off of Brad and Jo's Cafe Broome tradition (9/9).

From all of us at the FFiR program -- welcome! We hope you have a great year.
