This weekend the Adventure Steam is headed to P.S. 1 - the Long Island City outpost of the Museum of Modern Art. A former elementary school, it is a now a gallery hosting large-scale installations. The Greater NY show is a multi-media exhibition featuring the work of “68 artists and collectives living and working in the metropolitan New York area.” Many of the artists are on-site, helping to realize the missions of the exhibition—to represent the diversity of creative activity that defines life in New York City. To extend our awareness of this diversity, we take a short subway ride from P.S. 1 to Jackson Heights, a historic neighborhood in Queens with some of the best Indian food in the city. To cap off our day, we will have dinner at one of the most famous and popular Indian restaurants there.
