Join Bryan and Stephanie Smith-Waterman as we host Rob Sheffield, critic and contributing editor at Rolling Stone magazine, for a discussion of pop music and generational cohorts. How does music define a generation? We'll turn to Sheffield's most recent book, Talking to Girls about Duran Duran, for some answers. You're also encouraged to bring a track with you that epitomizes a generational ethos -- your own or an earlier one. We'll have a chance to play a few of those tracks and discuss their cultural significance.
This program is part of Faculty Fellows in Residence Week and is open to NYU students beyond Broome. (You're also welcome to attend programs in other buildings as advertised via the last link.)
