Join BCG at the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer this Saturday, October 15th!
Meet in the lobby at 7:50 am. We will leave by 8 am sharp!
Started in 2003, the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is a national series of fundraising events that include a 39 mile walk in New York City. Participants can range from cancer survivors to men and children honoring an important woman in their lives. All proceeds go to breast cancer research.
The event itself is moving and uplifting to observe. Each year, Broome takes a group of students to cheer on these walkers as they trek the many miles to the finish. Last year we encouraged them to all sign a large banner that was going to be displayed on the final day. This event truly encompasses the strength of the human spirit.
