Hey Broomies!
Need a break from final projects? Need some more Res College credit before the semester's over? Like free food (you're a college student, you can't say no this one)?
Then come to a screening of Part 1 of Angels in America (the HBO version) this Friday night at 8:00pm in the 5th floor lounge! As imdb says, the piece is "a political epic about the AIDS crisis during the mid-eighties, around a group of separate but connected individuals". It's Tony Kushner and it's absolutely brilliant in its telling the history of a particular New York moment. The movie also has Meryl Streep in it. And we all know, Broomies love Meryl.
So come spend some of your Friday night with some food and fellow Broomies and enjoy a great movie about AIDS, New York, American politics, and the meaning of community!
